With the after effects of Covid lockdowns causing material shortages, product shortages and many other problems which in turn led to inflation rising rapidly, we found ourselves, like many others, struggling financially.
To start with eBay was used as a means to generate a little bit of extra income.
However, it was soon realised our favourite pastime of fishing was becoming a lot more expensive. A lot of tackle was in short supply and it appeared people were taking advantage of the problem and hiking prices considerably.
After a bit of research suppliers were found who could supply products at a good price. This was reflected in our retail prices.
At first it was only a few items but as time went on, more and more products were added and are still being added to on a regular basis.
As avid anglers, we don't sell anything we don't or wouldn't use with confidence ourselves. There have been a few mistakes with some products being unsatisfactory but these have been removed from our stocks or not listed at all
The main problem with selling on eBay are the fees with postage also being included in processing fees and the increases in postal costs didn't help at all!
Listings without 'free' postage don't rank as high in the eBay search algorythm. Although the listing states 'free p & p', that 'free' has to be calculated into the listing price.
After contemplating for a long time, it was decided to invest in a website of our own so we could supply you, our customers, with the same products at much better prices plus combined postage on most items.
So here we are, supplying you with quality products at very competetive prices with outstanding customer service.
